Dr. Tauseef Tahir is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and earned his doctorate degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2002.

He has received specialized training in low vision, vision therapy, disease and its management in various areas across the United States. He was nationally recognized as the only member of the graduating class of 2002 to receive the William Feinbloom Low Vision Award showing excellence in training and patient care. He has completed extensive training programs aimed at fitting of difficult contact lens cases, glaucoma, retinal disease, diabetes, macular degeneration management and pediatrics. Dr. Tahir is fully DPA (diagnostic pharmaceutical agent) and TPA (therapeutic pharmaceutical agent) certified as well as fully certified for oral medication prescriptions as deemed by the state of IL.

Thank you for visiting! As many of you know, I am an avid radio control helicopter- and airplane flyer as well as a full scale pilot. My other personal hobbies include CNC machining, metal working, woodworking and  making and maintaining this website plus my own personal website.

I have also started dabbling in the art of photography using a Nikon D90 camera with various lenses, started keeping saltwater fish, and have recently completed my certification in SCUBA diving. Dr. Krista Thomasson - Administrative Director- Joliet EyeCare Assoc.

Dr. Krista Thomasson received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where she was a member of both the Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society. She continued her education at the Illinois College of Optometry and obtained her doctorate degree in 2002. She continued her training in specialized fields across the United States including vision therapy, pediatrics and advanced medicine. She completed her training in prescribing and fitting challenging contact lenses cases and advanced retinal disease including diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration care.
