Choroidal Nevus

This patient told me he normally had exams at "retail chain stores" but was becoming increasingly unhappy with their "lack of service." This was his first dilation (!!) and guess what we found? A large choroidal nevus. Now, normally these "freckles" don't turn into cancer but like any discoloration in tissue, we did further evaluation.

Above you can see a retinal scan ran in our office. It takes only a few seconds and gives us an “in depth” view of the freckle. What are we looking for? Leaking fluid, thickening of the tissue or orange pigment... all not good signs.

Luckily, this one came out benign. It is your “slate gray, distinct borders, flat choriodal nevus.” He is under yearly monitoring with our office and loves the service he received.

Glaucoma

New Scans, as available in our office can truly see under the tissue and make sure your eye is health.
